Ultra High Temperature (UHT) products Aerovac continues to develop its range of ultra-high temperature (UHT) products as more customers look towards thermoplastic composite manufacture. With the products available from the Richmond Aircraft Products range and Aerovac's own we are confident that we can supply a material that meets the most demanding applications, for temperatures up to 425°C and beyond.
AB40N Breather AB40N Breather is our ultra high lock-off resistant breather which has been developed to satisfy the most demanding cure specifications for epoxy/BMI autoclave curing composites It allows for uniform application of consolidation pressure and maintains sufficient airflow without the need for time consuming vacuum tracks, meshes or chains all in a single layer breather fabric. Aerovac would recommend its use during 175°C / 7 bar cures where its performance is superior to polyester breathers, even when multiple layers are used. However for all 125°C epoxy cures and 175°C cures with reduced autoclave pressure (i.e.honeycomb/cored laminates) polyester materials offer the best cost/performance benefit. So if you are seeing your vacuum levels drop during cure and following an inverse curve in relation to temperature we have the solution for you.
Coloured products In supporting our "Lean Cleanroom" vision Aerovac has developed novel systems for making our products more visual in order to aid lay-up. The coloured product range helps to reduce the risk of mixing and to allow the streaming of cost effective de-bulk and high temperature cure materials to the same work area. This is available across the full product range.
Intensification systems These are tailored systems designed to improve the consolidation pressure applied to local areas of the laminate, alleviating laminate quality issues (thickness, porosity etc...) and simplifying the vacuum bagging process to aid with the production of high quality and complex shapes.
Another advantage with the use of dedicated intensifiers is that a B surface can be produced closely matching that of the A surface of the laminate. As these products are designed specifically to suit a tooling requirement please contact Aerovac to discuss your exact requirements. |
