Following a period of development with key aerospace customers Aerovac is pleased to launch its "Lean Cleanroom" product at JEC 2007 designed to remove hours of non-valued added time from the vacuum bagging process.

Drawing on the synergy between Aerovac and Richmond Aircraft Products we have produced not only a range of lean vacuum bagging technologies but also a systematic approach to working with our customers to deliver the solutions direct to the point of use.

The technologies include kitted, shaped and pre-laminated consumables, welded 3-D nylon vacuum bags, reusable rubber debulk and cure bags and bespoke engineered solutions specifically targeted to your unique requirements.

The aim is for no/minimum operator motion or process waste required to get the materials into the form of use so that the cleanroom operators focus on the lay-up process rather than the vacuum bagging.

Results so far speak for themselves, with savings eclipsing the cost of the materials making Aerovac cost neutral and for the first time the true value of the supply chain can be realised.

The partnership type approach in delivering these savings positions Aerovac at the leading edge of innovative solutions to drive out waste from advanced composites manufacturing.
